Arrigoni named MIAC men's hockey athlete of the week

During those three games, Arrigoni totaled seven points from four goals and three assists.

On January 1, Arrigoni had a pair of goals in a 4-1 win over then #9-ranked MSOE.

In Friday's 4-1 win over UW-Superior, Arrigoni tallied a trio of points. He had an assist on the opening even-strength goal, an assist on the power play goal in the third that put the Pipers up 3-1, and scored Hamline's fourth goal on a power play with under three minutes to play.

In Saturday's 3-3 tie, Arrigoni had the single assist on the opening Piper goal of the game. He then scored on a power play to tie the game, 2-2, in the second period.

Arrigoni has a team-leading 17 points and also leads the Pipers in goals with nine.

Arrigoni's honor marks the second time this season that a Piper has been named the MIAC men's hockey athlete of the week. On November 22, defenseman Tim Olson received the honor.

The Pipers, ranked #11 in the latest USCHO.com national poll released today, return to MIAC play against Bethel University this weekend. They play at Bethel on Friday, January 14, at 7:00 p.m.
