Monson is All-American, Pipers finish 22nd at nationals

Monson's 23rd place run overall (19th amongst team scorers) in 24:47.5 made him a USTFCCCA All-American. The honor goes to the top 35 runners at the national meet.

Jack Deichert (Jr., Golden Valley, Minn.) was the next Piper to cross the line, finishing 104th overall and 78th amongst competing team members, in 25:28.3.

Ian Campbell (Sr., Blooming Prairie, Minn.) was 134th overall (100th) in 25:40.2 and Colin Rogers (So., River Falls, Wis.) was 20th overall (157th) in 26:12.5.

Andy Johnson (Sr., Andover, Minn.) was the fifth Piper to cross the line in 231st place overall (178th) with a time of 26:26.0 while Ellis Richardson (Jr., Shoreview, Minn.) placed 253rd overall (197th) in 26:49.9.

Nate Dobbins (So., Rochester, Minn.) was 255th overall (199th) with a time of 26:58.8.

The team championship was won by Haverford with 87 points. North Central (Illinois) was second with 104 points and St. Lawrence was third with 137 points. The Pipers tallied 532 points in the meet.

The individual championship was won by Anders Hulleberg from Haverford for the sweep of the titles.
