Pipers have strong finish at Jim Drews Invitational

The Pipers placed fifth overall and were the third-highest finishing Division III team.

Devin Monson (Jr., Thompson, N.D.) led the Pipers across the line, placing ninth with a run of 25:05.4 in the field of 488 runners. Jack Deichert (Jr., Golden Valley, Minn.) was 19th overall with a time of 25:18.6.

Finishing 38th overall was Colin Rogers (So., River Falls, Wis.) in 25:38.0. Crossing the line just two second apart were Andy Johnson (Sr., Andover, Minn.) in 44th with a time of 25:49.2 and Ian Campbell (Sr., Blooming Prairie, Minn.) in 46th with a time of 25:51.4.

Nate Dobbins (So., Rochester, Minn.) was 84th overall in 26:12.4 and Joel Dieterich (Sr., Portland, Ore.) rounded out the Piper top seven with a run of 27:10.8 to finish 168th overall.

The Pipers will next run at the MIAC Championships held at Como Golf Course on Saturday, October 30. The men's race is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m.
