LaFex finished with a total of 37.550 (vault - 9.350, bars - 8.325,
beam - 8.175, floor - 8.975) for the win. The second place gymnast in
all-around, Katie Thompson from Whitewater, finished with a total score
of 36.150.
Molly Weber (Sr., Taos, N.M.) was third in the all-around with a
total of 35.300 (vault - 9.200, bars - 8.250, beam - 8.475, floor -
9.375).
LaFex' score on the uneven parallel bars was good for a second place finish.
Erika Degnan (Fy., Winona, Minn.) also put in a top three
performance, placing third on the vault with a score of 9.475. Kambria
Blakely (Fy., Moultrie, Ga.) tied for fourth on the vault with a score
of 9.425.
Melissa Thomas (Sr., Long Beach, Calif.) put together a second place
performance in floor exercise with a score of 9.575. Weber's score put
her in fifth on the same event.
Hamline will next compete on Saturday, January 22, in a triangular at
Gustavus Adolphus. The meet, which includes Winona State, begins at
2:00 p.m.
