This award marks the second time this season that a Piper has been
named the MIAC special teams player of the week. P/K John Broback earned
the honor on September 20.
The Pipers enjoyed strong field position all day thanks to House. The
return man had a great day taking back both kicks and punts, and the
Hamline offense was often able to capitalize on its victories in the
field-position battle.
House was especially dangerous on kickoff returns, amassing 125 total
yards on four returns for a 31.2 average. He also returned a pair of
punts a total of 22 yards, giving him 147 total return yards on the day.
After a 38-yard return into Macalester territory, the Scots stopped
kicking to House.
House also had 227 all-purpose yards, adding 80 yards and two
touchdown catches. This season, House is third in the MIAC with a kick
return average of 23.8 yards per return and he ranks among the league
leaders in almost every receiving category.
This weekend, Hamline travels to Gustavus Adolphus on Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. start.
