Gold Glove awards are given to the nation's best defensive players at
their respective positions. The nine-player Division III Gold Glove
team included one pitcher, one catcher, one player at each of the four
infield positions, and three outfielders.
Rogers was perfect in the outfield this season with 104 putouts and
four assists. He also lead the Pipers at the plate, hitting .356 with 26
RBI over the course of the season.
