Former Piper shortstop featured in MiLB "Photos of the Week"

Kaczrowski is featured in the photo with the caption: "He may look safe, but the Nuts' (Rockies) Erik Wetzel was caught stealing second base on a pickoff throw from Visalia Rawhide (D-Backs) pitcher Christan Beltre to second baseman Daniel Kaczrowski."

Kaczrowski is playing for the Visalia Rawhide in the California League. He is currently hitting .255 in 40 games. He has eight doubles, two home runs, and a triple.

A graduate of St. Anthony Village High School, Kaczrowski was the 2009 Baseball America preseason Division III player of the year. He went on to lead the Pipers to their second straight MIAC playoff appearance and third in four years during his senior season.

Overall in 2009 he led the team with a .393 batting average and had 26 RBI while hitting ten doubles and a team-high four home runs. He struck out just five times in 150 at bats and drew a team-high 21 walks.

Kaczrowski was drafted by the Arizona Diamonbacks in the 26th round of the 2009 MLB draft.
