Christina Walker (So. Katy, Texas.) sprinted to a new indoor record
in the 55-meter dash, running a time of 7.48. This time bettered the
previous record of 7.49 set in 2006.
Walker also bettered her own record in the 200-meter dash, which she
set one year previously at this meet. Her time of 26.50 improved her old
mark by four-tenths of a second.
The 800 meter relay team of Hope Hertz (Fy. Elk River, Minn.), Keelie
Sorenson (Fy. Brooklyn Park, Minn.), Kameron Argiannis (Sr. Eden
Prairie, Minn.) and Walker finished with a time 1:46.26 improving the old
school record set in 2009.
Arlene Behling (Sr. Plymouth, Minn.) broke the school record in the
pole vault set in 2009. Her vault of 10-10 passed the record by one inch
and placed her first at the meet.
Argiannis placed second in the 55-meter hurdles with her time of 8.89.
Jessica Kociscak (Sr. Anoka, Minn.) ran to a second place finish the
1000 meter run, finishing in 3:02.38. Sara Holland (Sr. Dousman, Wis.)
was fourth with 3:04.13 and Maria Theisen (Fy. Minneapolis, Minn.)
finished sixth running 3:13.08.
Kaitlyn Frenchick (Jr. Paynesville, Minn.) ran to a third place finish in the 600 meter run, finishing in 1:38.70.
The Pipers are next in action Thursday, March 3 - Saturday, March 6
at the MIAC Indoor Conference Championships hosted by St. Thomas
University.
