Winona State won the meet with a total score of 183.050. UW-La Crosse
was second with 182.825, Hamline finished third as a team with 181.225,
and UW-Oshkosh was fourth with 178.850.
The team score of 181.225 for Hamline is a season-high for the Pipers.
The Pipers totaled team scores of 45.650 on vault, 44.775 on bars, 45.400 on beam, and 45.400 on floor.
LaFex, who had set the previous school record of 9.7 on the uneven
bars at Hamline's last home meet on February 1, scored a 9.775 on the
bars this time around. The score was also good enough to win the event.
She placed second in the all-around to Christa Booman from UW-La
Crosse. LaFex had a total score of 37.350 (vault - 9.2, beam - 9.45,
floor - 8.925) and Booman tallied 37.925.
LaFex placed third on the balance beam with her score on that apparatus.
Kambria Blakely (Fy., Moultrie, Ga.) was the highest-finishing Piper on vault with a 9.375.
On the floor exercise, Courtney Benson (Fy., Winona, Minn.) placed fourth to lead Hamline, scoring a 9.450.
Hamline next competes on Friday, March 4, in a dual meet at UW-Stout.
The meet, which begins at 4:00 p.m., will be the team's final
competition before the WIAC/NCGA West Region championships.
