Hamline's concerts and events offer a festive way to celebrate the season

Winter weather is here and the end of the semester is near, which means it’s time for some cheer with Hamline’s holiday concerts. This December the Hamline Winds, Jazz Ensemble, and Hamline Orchestra are all offering free public performances. In addition, there will be a Christmas Candlelight Service for the Hamline community to enjoy.

Hamline Jazz Ensemble Winter Concert, December 7
John Koziol will direct the Hamline Jazz Ensemble in an evening of great jazz at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 7 in the Anne Simley Theatre of the Drew Fine Arts Center, 1530 Taylor Ave., Saint Paul, MN.

Hamline Winds and University of St. Thomas Symphonic Band Concert, December 10
This concert takes place Friday, December 10 at 7:30 p.m. in Brady Auditorium, University of Saint Thomas campus, located at 2115 Summit Ave., Saint Paul.

Hamline Orchestra Concert, December 15
Hamline Orchestra, under the direction of Yali You, will perform Brahms Hungarian Dance No. 6 and Mozart’s one Divertimento movement and complete Symphony No. 31 on Wednesday, December 15 at 7 p.m. in Sundin Music Hall, 1531 Hewitt Ave., Saint Paul.
