Hamline University is pleased to announce the release of 2010

essays and writers’ interviews from emerging, mid-career and established writers
from Minnesota and across the nation.
The public is invited to celebrate
the Water~Stone Review release at a reading and reception on Hamline’s Saint
Paul campus. The event takes place at Sundin Music Hall, 1531 Hewitt Ave, at

Water~Stone
Review, now celebrating its thirteenth year, is an annual review published by
Hamline’s Graduate School of Liberal Studies. It includes trend-setting work
that represents the artistic excellence of a proud Midwestern literary
tradition. The 2010 Water~Stone Review includes contributions from writers such
as Ann Pancake, Jim Moore, Adrian C. Louis, Brenda Miller, Robert Bly, Matt
Rasmussen, Stephanie Dickinson, Jane Hirshfield, Honor Moore and Donald
Levering.
“Our goal has been to publish a national review that is of the
highest quality, not only in its literary content but in its physical design,”
said Mary Rockcastle, dean of the Graduate School of Liberal Studies and editor
of Water~Stone Review. “I believe we have succeeded on both counts. Our latest
issue includes work by well-known names, as well as work by new and emerging
writers.”
Water~Stone Review is geared to the curious reader who prefers
a range of style and voices, intelligent and lively discourse and strong,
original writing. It publishes work in all genres, as well as essay/reviews and
writers’ interviews. It has won several Pushcart Prizes, been selected for Best
American Poetry, and won a bronze award for design excellence from the Minnesota
Magazine Publishers Association.
