Description: As part of Minnesota's inaugural Genocide Awareness Month, come preview Dakota film-maker Sheldon Wolfchild's film, "The Doctrine of Discovery" in Sundin Music Hall, 7pm. The film explores the interpretations of Christian doctrine used to justify colonial conquest of Indigenous peoples. Post film discussion with Wolfchild, and Hamline professor emeritus Howard Vogel, and Steven Newcomb, the founder of the Indigenous Law Institute. The event is free and doors open at 6:00pm.
