This session, facilitated by Professor Letitia Basford (HSE), will provide an introduction to developing an assessment rubric. It will be particularly valuable for those programs or departments who have identified student learning outcomes but do not yet have a set of rubrics to use for assessing student work. After attending this workshop, participants will be able to:
Identify the important components of an assessment rubric
Locate existing rubrics to use as examples
Articulate the specific expectations for Hamline assessment rubrics
Determine next steps for developing one or more learning outcomes assessment rubrics.
