Hamline Law is pleased to welcome Dr. Huiping Chen, professor of law at Xiamen University Law School (Xiamen China), to campus to speak on "China-US Bilateral Investment Treaty Negotiations: Convergence, Controversies and Prospects” on Wednesday, February 27.

Dr. Chen is an expert in international law, international economic law, and international investment treaties.

Participants will learn the history behind the China-U.S. bilateral investment treaty and why the bilateral investment negotiations between the two nations should be a template for a multilateral framework for investments between other nations.

The lecture begins at 4:15 p.m. in Room 105 of the School of Law. A question-and-answer session with refreshments will follow at 5:15 p.m.
