Description: There is an image of Johann Sebastian Bach of a dour, sour-dispositioned and perhaps “too intellectual” person and composer. Nothing could be further from the truth. Bach wrote high-voltage, romantic compositions to “wow” his listeners with his stunning virtuosity and deeply expressive music.  Program includes the exhilarating Toccata in D, the vivacious Italian Concerto, and the soul-stirring Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue.
