Kathy Weihe, MFA Alum, will be reading from her new book of poetry, Unless you Count the Birds.

Kathleen Weihe lives with her husband, their dog, and two rescue birds in Minneapolis. She teaches composition at Anoka-Ramsey Community College, and has taught poetry classes at The Loft. Her poetry has appeared in numerous journals, including Water-Stone Review, MARGIE, Spoon River Poetry Review, and Emprise Review. She is the recipient of an artist’s assistance fellowship from the Minnesota State Arts Board, a Loft-McKnight Award for poetry, and has participated in the Loft’s Mentor Program. Kathleen received “outstanding thesis” along with her M.F.A. from Hamline University in 2002.
