    Homecoming Week has begun. Are you ready to show you Piper Spirit?

    Homecoming Week isn't just for alumni, it is the time of the year when current students go the extra mile to show their school spirit and celebrate the Hamline community. Are you ready to join the celebration? Below is a schedule of many of the activities planned to help celebrate Homecoming.

    The Lip Sync Competition is an annual Homecoming event. It gives student the opportunity to perform their favorite songs on-stage, without having to worry about singing! Simply pick a song, register to participate and prepare your stage show! Contestants are judged on ability to lip sync, originality, appearance and crowd reaction. The deadline to enter the competition is 12 noon, Wednesday, October 2, 2013.

    Women's Volleyball vs. Macalester
    7 p.m., in Hutton Arena

    8 p.m. Anderson 111/112
    You may have seen him on season 3 of America's Got Talent or when he performed on the finale of season 9, So You Think You Can Dance, now you can see him on Hamline's campus. Dancing, singing, storytelling and comedian all rolled into one with our first performer of Homecoming Week 2013! He is the perfect person to get the school spirit up and the stress down!

    Come and do arts and crafts with us as well as watching "The Blind Side". All supplies to make creative crafts will be provided for your use. Grab your friends and your creative juices and come make some crafts!

    Piper Blow Out - A Special School Spirit Dinner
    5 p.m. Walker Field House
    Join Student Activities for dinner and FUN featuring a dinner catered by Boca Chica! Dinner begins at 4:30 p.m. While enjoying the meal, enter the drawing for some amazing school spirit prizes, including BEST SEAT IN THE HOUSE at the Annual Lip Sync Competition!

    "I've Got Whozits & Whatzits Galore!" - Comedian Adam Grabowski
    8 p.m., Bush Ballroom
    He had you rolling with laughter last year, now back by popular demand, he will make you laugh so hard your sides hurt! Come and check out this great comedian to relieve your midweek stress with humor! Make sure you are ready to laugh the night away!

    Piper Fall Fest
    11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Klas Mall
    Join the Piper community for food and fun as Piper football takes on Gustavus. The Fall Fest includes music, and novelty entertainment! Stop by before enjoying the football game!

    1 p.m. at Klas Field
    Show your Piper Pride at the Annual Homecoming Game and cheer on the Piper Football team. Also, hang around because at this game the new PIPER Mascot will be introduced!

    Annual Homecoming Dance
    9 p.m. Anderson Center 111 and 112
    Tickets are required and will be available at the Rec Desk, located in the Lower Level of Walker Fieldhouse beginning Monday, September 30. You must present a valid Hamline ID in order to receive your ticket.

  • Hamline President Linda N. Hanson will be honored as an exceptional leader at the first-ever Celebrating Twin Cities Women Leaders event.

    The Hamline and greater community are invited to network with fellow administrators at Hamline School of Business' Critical Conversations event presented by the Center for Public Administration and Leadership on Friday, September 19 from 8 - 9 a.m. in the Kay Fredericks Ballroom of the Klas Center.

    Hamline’s Career Development Center (CDC) recently earned part of a $5.2 million grant to increase paid internship opportunities for students.
