Over the years, many wonderful and generous alumni, faculty, staff, and friends have blessed Hamline University with charitable gifts and bequests. The Heritage Society was chartered in the fall of 1992 to celebrate that generosity and to assist people who wish to provide for Hamline through their estate planning.

The symbol of the Hamline University Heritage Society is based on a detail of the carving atop the stone columns fronting the entrance to historic Old Main. The leafed branch represents what the Hamline University experience has come to mean to alumni, faculty, staff, and friends alike: friendship and community, renewal, respect for tradition, and devotion to higher values.

Hamline forensic science students and a faculty member were featured in a story on KARE 11 News that illustrated the physical evidence a person leaves behind in a given day and how forensic scientists might collect and examine those clues.
