    Active Directory

    What is Active Directory? 

     A directory service is the central repository of the key elements of a computer network, the place where ITS administrators manage users, computers, network folders, email, etc.

    Hamline uses Active Directory Services (“AD”) for login/authentication to: network resources, Network-based file storage, Networked printers/digital imagers, and Google Apps email.

    • Hamline ITS is pleased to announce that Google Drive is now officially available for use with the same kind of security in place with network drives. The documents that you create in Google Drive are now being backed up with Spanning Backup.
    • On June 1, 2013, Hamline ITS will officially shutdown Groupwise and remove the client from all campus workstations

    • Spanning Backup allows you to retrieve your deleted Google files and calendar
