Philip Steffes is a member of the Hamline University School of Law adjunct faculty. He currently teaches the course Legal Writing - Contracts. He has work at Cray Inc., a supercomputer manufacturer, since 2002 and is currently Associate General Counsel. He previously held the position of Chief Business Counsel for Cray. Prior to joining Cray, Mr. Steffes was Senior Vice President and General Counsel for a California high-tech named Neutility Corporation (1998 to 2001). Before joining Neutility, Mr. Steffes was Vice President and General Counsel for five years at MCSB Technology Corporation, an affilate of the MCSB family of companies headquartered in Singapore. Mr. Steffes has also worked at Supercomputer Systems, Inc. (Senior Counsel) from 1991 to 1993, and at ETA Systems as Director of Contracts and Business Practices from 1984-1989. During his career he has also worked as an attorney at Steffes Law Office (1989-1991), and in several management positions at Control Data Corporation (1979-1984).
