DIRT, POETRY, MUSIC

When: Thursday, August 23, 2012 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Where: Hamline University, Blue Wall Garden

Description:

The Wesley Center for Spirituality, Service and Social Justice and Minnesota Interfaith Power & Light invites you to our brand-new "DIRT, POETRY, MUSIC" interfaith service project and arts contest!

First, join us in an engaging group project to support global climate change solutions!

Next, share your works of art for a chance to win up to $50 in prizes, including books by environmentalist Terry Tempest Williams and shopping trips to Ten Thousand Villages or Midtown Global Market!

This event will be Thursday August 23 from 6pm - 9pm at The Blue Garden at Hamline University (between Old Main and the Law School, 1536 Hewitt Avenue, St. Paul, MN). Vegetarian food and drinks will be available. This will be a fun, creative, safe, family-friendly, and interfaith environment for all!

To register for the project, review arts submission guidelines, and submit your art, please visit the MNIPL website by Monday August 20. The only major guideline is that art pieces must be relevant to the urgent issue of climate change, or expressing spiritual and interfaith responses to that issue!
