The following items should be included when requesting a news release:
- Information about the event. This includes logistics such as title of a lecture, speaker, location of the event, time, cost, and what makes the event or announcement unique, etc.
- If a featured speaker will be present, please include the person's name, title, and a two-paragraph biography of the featured speaker.
Note: Please keep in mind that local weekly and monthly publications have early deadlines. To get the release written and approved by all parties, all information must be received at least three weeks in advance.
